Mission: To support the greater houston travel industry through the direct expenditures by attracting and hosting national sports and entertainment events, conventions and tradeshows, and to relieve the city of houston from costs associated with major national sporting events and trade shows.
Programs: Support of national senior games: the greater houston convention and event funds was very instrumental in the planning of the events tied to the senior games. The agency worked very closely with local organizing committee to ensure that all the events were professionally staffed and of the high quality standard expected by the senior games.
