Mission: The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank exists to service short-term, unmet food needs of households in the greater Baton Rouge area through existing social service agencies, churches/synagogues and religious agencies.This purpose is accomplished by supporting or providing services such as food distribution programs and educational programs.

Facing many financial burdens each day, seniors often have to choose between food, prescription medications, and utiltities at home. This program supplies the sponsored senior with a 50 lb. box of nourishing food items each month. This helps alleviate their financial burden by allowing them to focus on focus on other pressing issues at hand.
