Programs: Editorial services. Graywolf editors continue to seek singular and challenging contemporary literature often neglected by commercial presses. Our authors and editorial staff are increasingly recognized for their artistic excellence and vision. Publisher fiona mccrae and executive editor jeff shotts won the poets & writers editor's award. Five graywolf books were longlisted for national book awards and three went on to be finalists: whereas by layli long soldier, don't call us dead by danez smith, and her body and other parties by carmen maria machado. Graywolf releases simultaneous print and ebook editions, and our books are available in bookstores across the country as well as online. Relationships with public libraries ensure that those without economic resources can read our books.

Graywolf books were widely reviewed in major media outlets in 2017; end-of-year "best of" lists included 36 graywolf titles that were cited 249 times by 105 different venues. The new york times named two graywolf titles to its list of 100 notable books of 2017, including bunk by kevin young and whereas by layli long soldier. Graywolf authors participated in over 470 literary events across the us in 2017, reaching a live audience of about 25,000 people.
