Mission: The primary mission of graceland university is to be a learning community, where students develop their potential for meaningful and productive lives through intellectual, physical, social and spiritual growth. This mission is guided by the belief that the curriculum of graceland university should be firmly rooted in the best liberal arts tradition, enhanced by practical experiences that prepare students for successful careers. Programs: Educational programs, general/other: graceland produces a liberal arts education offered to students in traditional on-campus programs, satellite (community college) sites, and via distance learning formats. 36 undergraduate majors are offered, as well as 12 masters programs in education, nursing and religion. Graceland university is a member of the north central association and is accredited by the higher learning commission. Academic support includes accreditation and assessment activities, libraries, and instructional technology support. (1,885 fte students)
student services programs, general/other: student services encompasses cultural and social activities for students, student government, and intercollegiate athletics. It also includes those offices providing student services support, including admissions, registrar and others. Auxiliary services includes the university bookstore, food service, residence hall, snack shop and vending machines.
student financial aid programs: scholarships, grants and other student financial assistance were offered to approximately 82% of our students in on-campus and satellite programs. Funding is provided through institutional sources, government grant programs administered by the university, or government-sponsored loan programs.
