Causes: Goodwill Industries, Job Training
Mission: To assist people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to live independently and become employed.
Programs: Donated goods: through our donated goods program, defined as collection, processing and resale of donated items, goodwill of the coastal empire provides employment opportunities to individual seeking to develop skills sets in production, customer service, logistics and retail.
commercial business services: this program consists of a variety of business services including custodial, grounds keeping, manufacturing and kitting that provide job training and sustainable employment to individuals overcoming disabilities and barriers.
workforce development: goodwill provides a variety of programs to assist individuals overcoming disabilities or other barriers to employment to become employed. Services include intensive vocational assessment, work adjustment and on-the-job training for individuals referred from georgia vocational rehabilitation agency and other partner agencies; mentoring youth ages 12-17 through the goodguides program; and free employment services through our five job connection centers. In 2016, 6,906 individuals were served and 1,210 placed into sustainable employment through these programs.
