Mission: Goodwill industries of houston (gwh) is an autonomous, community-based nonprofit corporation which provides rehabilitation services, training, placement and employment for people with disabilities and persons with special needs.
Programs: Gwh operated 63 retail stores in 2017, providing employment for a total of 4,812 individuals over the course of the year. These stores sold gently used clothing, furniture, household goods, and other items to the community at low cost, while providing revenue to fund job creation and training programs. In 2017, goodwill featured programs serving persons with disabilities, histories of incarceration, youth, and at-risk families. Last year, goodwill served over 11,000 individuals in the community.
