Mission: Good Worx Inc. is committed to raising awareness and engaging others in issues impacting us all - both locally and globally!
Results: 2014 to Present - Good Worx Inc. has been working locally to raise awareness about families in our community experiencing food insecurity. We've worked directly with some of these same families to provide growing space for them to grow their own garden fresh foods for their families. Our Sunny Patch Community Growing Project has shared over two tons (4,500 lbs. to be exact) of garden fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits and eggs with at-risk families in our neighborhood in three short growing seasons. We've provided opportunities for neighbors to come together to grow, access and share garden fresh foods. Additionally we've worked to provide garden shares for three local food pantries throughout the growing season (June-November). From 2010 to 2014 our Hope4Haiti initiative resulted in working to help fully fund the rebuild of our adopted elementary school in Haiti (Institution Mixte Nao). The addition of an on-site water source as well as modern latrines to replace pit latrines have impacted hundreds of students and their families in Leogane, Haiti.
