Causes: Congregate Meals, Food, Human Services, Meals on Wheels, Senior Centers, Seniors
Mission: To be a leader in providing outstanding programs and supportive services in the greater cleveland area that enhance the quality of life and independence of older persons.
Programs: Meal services - program provides home delivered meals to frail and homebound elderly clients (an average of 700 home delivered meals per day). This program utilizes professional drivers, jumpers and a fleet of eight specially-equipped vehicles. Also, the golden age centers provide almost 48,000 congregate meals annually. These are hot lunchtime meals, in group settings, served in our centers.
social services - licensed social workers provide assistance to seniors at our centers to obtain community services and benefits according to need. The social workers also provide seniors with counseling or professional intervention with critical issues when necessary, including home bound seniors involved with the home delivered meal program.
social development - program offers a vast array of health and wellness programming, arts and culture opportunities, and lifelong learning at several senior centers.
