Mission: To commit to creating smarter, cleaner electricity systems around the world by linking the major public-private stakeholders and initiatives of participating countries, share best practices, identify barriers and solutions, foster innovation, and address key technical and policy issues to help member organizations initiate changes to their countries' electric systems to enhance security, increase flexibility, reduce emissions, and maintain affordability, reliability, and accessibility.
Programs: The global smart grid federation (gsgf) is a global stakeholder organization committed to creating smarter, cleaner electrical systems around the world. To that end, gsgf facilitates the collaboration of national and international smart grid nongovernmental organizations and governmental organizations from around the world that conduct and foster research in the application of smart grid technologies. Gsgf supported the rapid implementation of smart grid technologies by serving as a global center for competency on smart grid technologies and policy issues and fostering the international exchange of ideas and best practices on energy issues, including but not limited to reliability, energy efficiency, energy storage, cybersecurity, and climate change. In addition, gsgf facilitated dialogue and cooperation between the public and private sectors in countries around the world on issues relating to the deployment of smart grid technologies.
