Programs: Geo africa-ethiopia, tanzaniain africa we have visited a number of countries and applied our services to humanitarian surgical services, education in the operating theater, and the training of doctors in temporal bone lab settings. Africa is understaffed in the number of physicians and the shortage has lead to a largely under served population. In ethiopia we participate with a group of doctors at a rural hospital and perform ear surgery while training the doctors. In cambodia we participated in the development of a temporal bone lab that trains doctors in a country, that because of political violence, lost 90% of their professional class. This program is the most comprehensive and organized of all of our programs. In italy we continue to work through our board members in both countries and support african education and this coming year we will be going to iraq as well. We also participate in educational programs in italy, where we lecture and participate in education programs in temporal bone surgery.

south pacific-marshall islands, american samoa, saipanin the south pacific geo works with local ent doctors at the lbj tropical medical center and in the clinic and the operating theater providing care to the local samoan population. This program is more of a humanitarian outreach than a sustainable program of education we develop elsewhere. Due to a physician shortage and as well a limited training by the doctors we deliver care two times a year. As well while we are there we do local outreach programs to communities and as well provide continuing medical education in the form of lectures to the medical community at the hospital. Geo also assists with off island referrals to mainland usa when there is a difficult case that cannot be handled there in american samoa.
