Mission: The girl scout mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Serving girls ages 5-17 through a variety of council-wide programming and events and volunteer-led local troop activities, today's girl scout develops leadership, decision-making, goal-setting, philanthropic and business skills that will help make her successful in life. Girl scouts also engages girls in financially challenged communities by providing facilitated, donor-supported programs to ensure all girls explore a wide range of topics and opportunities including stem (science, technology, engineering and math), healthy living, business, arts and culture, and the environment.
