Programs: Today's girl scouts offers girls more choices and more reason than ever before to join our affordable leadership experience. Girl scouts of colorado focuses on girl-planned, hands-on learning made fun by experiencing the world around us, together. We're best known for cookies, camping, and community service, but girls from every community in our state learn about so much more, such as science, technology, engineering, and math (stem); healthy living; the environment; financial literacy; confidence and self-esteem. Girls can join troops in their communities, attend girl scout events or short term experiences that appeal to specific interests, attend camp in the summer, travel abroad as older girl scouts and much more.
camping and events are a cornerstone of girl scouting, whether it be as a troop camping experience or individual girl summer overnight or day camp experience. At camp, girls develop independence, self-confidence, and leadership skills while gaining an appreciation for nature and making life-long memories. High school-aged girls can broaden their troop camping experiences through extended overnight and more. Rustic camping adventures. Older girl scouts can also take on leadership roles for younger girls. Girl scouts of colorado offers events for girls all over the state that build girls' leadership and life skills including bullying prevention, self-esteem, career exploration, and stem.
