The GIft of Adoption provides families with funds to help defray the cost of adoption. As most qualified candidates have found, adopting a child is very expensive. Sometimes prohibitively so. This organization helps families by awarding $5000 "scholarships" to families trying to adopt children. The volunteers and the board of directors for this organization are devoted to this cause and work tirelessly raising funds so that more and more families can afford to adopt more children. WIth so many children in need of a "forever" home, I've have found this opportunity fulfilling. None of the people I've met get paid for their work or expertise, yet they give of themselves and their resources continuously.
