Mission: The purpose of the georgia society of rheumatology (gsr) is to stimulate interest and increase knowledge of arthritis and rheumatic diseases among physicians, allied health professionals, and laymen. Gsr is committed to providing multiple learning opportunities for its members throughout the year.
Programs: The georgia society of rheumatology conducts an annual three day conference to provide continuing educational opportunities for its members. Approximately 50 attendees participated in the 2016 conference held in hilton head island, south carolina on june 3-5. Class topics included: psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of coronary artery disease in rheumatology patients, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatic disease, and anasarca. The physicians institute for excellence in medicine designated this live educational activity for education credit.
