Mission: The organization's exempt purpose is to develop in young adults an understanding of government, business, public policy issues and civics, and to foster leadership qualities that will add value to their communities. Also to provide educational, public policy, leadership and civics training to individuals, including students, in the united states, in order to heighten awareness of history and principles of business and government. To receive, administer and distribute funds for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986 as amended.
Programs: The foundation conducts an annual citizenship tournament, in which students compete for valuable prizes and scholarships, and civics related travel. The pilot program was open to 4th, 8th and 12th graders from across the eastern washington region. The goal was to give area school children a chance to be well rewarded for learning about our history and government, as well as engaging in their community by completingthe citizenship tasks that were required as part of the tournament process.
