Mission: Generator, inc. Is a community craft studio founded for the purpose of providing low-cost access to workshop, studio tools, work/meeting space, and education for making - creative, artistic, hobby, entrepreneurial.
Programs: Generator provides tools and community accessible space to over 200 educators, makers, artists and entreprenerus. In addition, outreach efforts have included a "maker in residence" program, which has given nine makers the opportunity to work collaboratively with our community to solve a technical or artistic challenge. "big maker" speaker series brings innovators to vermont to inspire and connect with the community at large. Generator has been working closely with a select group of local middle and high schools to understand how we can support the movement towards stem- based curriculum, hands on instruction through project-based learning, and personalized learning plans: maker teaching assistants, makers in the classroom and educator in residence programs.
