Mission: To put christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, body and mind for all.
Programs: Teen camp programs served 378 in outdoor exploration programs; instilling community service, leadership, healthy lifestyle habits and confidence in youth through multi-day camping trips throughout montana. Summer camps/schools out program included mentoring 2,215 youth, ages k-5th grade with full-day camp designed to serve our working parents and provide youth with a safe enriching environment while out of school. The camp integrated key math, science and literacy components and the ymca core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility through experiential activites, field trips and games.
child care programs provided a safe, enriching and stimulating environment for 38 0-5 year olds. Also served bozeman high school students that were teen parents by providing on-site child care at no fee, so that they could continue to go to school and graduate from high school with a convenient and inclusive child care program. Also provided early learning enrichment programs year round for 139 2-5 year olds that prepare them with kindergarten readiness skills.
sports & recreation/health enhancement/membership programs coached 735 k-5th graders in flag football program. Coached 866 k-4th graders in basketball. The sporting leagues teach basic sport skills while also teaching the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. Youth develop confidence, teamwork, communication skills and perserverance while participating in our youth sporting leagues. Served 15 youth and their families diagnosed with being clinically obese with a health empowerment program giving youth the opportunity to participate in physical activity, nutrition education and self-esteem deelopment. The acquatics division provided swim lessons for 164 youth ages 3-13 years old teaching life saving water safety and swimming skills in an encouraging and safe environment.
