Causes: Blind & Visually Impaired Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To breed, raise, train and place healthy, well-trained dogs to lead people who are blind and to do all things necessary to achieve this goal. Gallant hearts guide dog center provides guide dogs, free of charge, to qualified individuals to enhance dignity, promote independent living, productivity, and self-confidence, through improved mobility.
Programs: The organization placed 6 dogs with people who are blind and obtained 2 dogs for the breeding program for german shpherds and doberman pinshcers. The organization also developed a working relationship with the delta gamma chapter at ole miss in preparation for their funding of a guide dog team in 2015.
