I have 3 kids, ages 9-5 and they have all participated in various classes offered by GACA during the past 4 summers. I love the variety, time schedule and location of the classes!
My family and I moved to USA last year. We found this amazing organization through the school my child attended, and it was an enriching experience for our family! thank you for making our time here unforgetable!
My children (2 girls and 1 boy) have taken acting, voice and music lessons from GACA for over 2 years. The lessons have all been taught by highly qualified professionals with years of training, experience and a passion for sharing their talent with others. The GACA instructors I have worked with have demonstrated patience and understanding with my children and their individual personalities and learning styles.
I greatly appreciate the wide variety of classes offered by GACA in the fine and performing arts. Everything from acting, singing, dancing, instruments, art and more is offered at convenient times and locations.
My kids have developed a higher level of proficiency and skill in the classes they have taken. They have also developed confidence, social skills and creative problem solving from their experience with GACA.
GACA has allowed me to give my children lessons in the arts that I would have never been able to afford. The cost for taking classes through GACA is much, much less than what would be charged in the open market.
My children and I love GACA. It has greatly enhanced my children's personal, intellectual and social development. I highly recommend this organization and the quality services it provides to our community.
My daughters have participated in some classes organized by GACA and they have not only learned there but also got inspired by the passionate and creative way the GACA team works with the kids. It is fortunate that we have this association in our town. The drama class is a great opportunity for the kids to find their inner leader and brighten their inspiration out. They are imaginative and encouraging.
Our daugther, age 8, has attended GACA(Gainesville, Littlewood classes) classes throughout the past 2 or 3 years and loved them. Creative arts, such as ecological arts, or drawing classes, or dancing classes (HipHop, Dance around the world, etc) were her favorites. She also attended summer camp twice and loved it as well. She will likely do more with GACA in the future. Great program, great teachers with a lot of technical and pedagogical knowledge and a heart for kids.
GACA does an excellent job of providing an affordable way for kids to connect with the arts. Our chlldren have taken many classes through GACA and, without exception, their teachers have all been excellent. And, even more importantly I think, they have all been practitioners of what they teach. The music teacher is a musician, the ballet teacher a dancer...it is a great program.
Two of my children participate in various programs (workshops) offered by GACA. Both my children and we consider ourselves fortunate to enjoy these classes at low costs. Without GACA's workshops, we would not know whether we could afford lessons for our children. Our children love arts and other creative activities. GACA makes a difference in their thirst for creativity.
We thank GACA and those who support it.

We've enrolled our children in several Gainesville Association for the Creative Arts programs over the past five years, and we can't say enough about the quality of the instruction. Our son and daughter have taken piano, art classes, and now dance. In each case, the quality has been as high or higher as the private and studio classes we've also enjoyed in town. Gainesville is a fabulous place for the arts in general, but we appreciate GACA especially for making arts affordable for families and accessible to all. Lesson times and places are convenient too.
I have been involved with the non-profit Gainesville Association for the Creative Arts (GACA) since 1998. I have seen thousands of children over the past 14 years participate in drama, dance, art and music free of charge under GACA's full, need-based scholarship program. Title One schools in Alachua County with no art program are provided teachers during the school day at little or no charge. It is truly an amazing orgasnization that has served Gainesville since 1967.
