Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: Futureready columbus is a collaboration of community leaders whose mission is to create a new birth-to-degree-to-career educational support framework that will provide columbus' youth with a pathway to success. At futureready columbus, we strive to ensure that every child receives the support they need from cradle to career in order to succeed academically and achieve a fulfilling career.
Programs: Began implementing a focused, "birth-to-career" community-wide support system that (a) creates a culture of community ownership by fostering strategic collaboration that will promote the attainment of our community's student success goals, (b) utilizes a "collective impact" model to address academic and non-academic barriers to learning and develop strategies to overcome them, and (c) lifts up and supports continuous quality improvement and data driven decision-making that enables the community to track performance and implement best practices in targeted areas. Overall goals of these programs are to ensure that columbus children will enter kindergarten ready to succeed, that they will then succeed academically, graduate, and be prepared for post-secondary education; and ultimately, will earn a post-secondary degree or credential.
