Mission: Fundacion monumento viviente de nueva york provides financial and moral support to an established organization in licey al medio, santiago, dominican republic. Our counterpart overseas was founded in 1992 and incorporated in d r as fundacion monumento viviente, inc to serve lowincome people through six programs: the eye hospital: monumento viviente,the elementary school flor del campo, the child day care flor del campo, the seniors home las tres hermanas, the municipal library monumento viviente and the summer school. The total amount collected from individuals, small business and organizations through our sponsorship program are sent in full to our counterpart in the dominican republic. Donations from corporate grants or organizations are also sent in full. More than the 90% from our fudraising activities such as the annual christmas dinner are also allocated to fundacion monumento viviente, inc in the dominican republic.
Programs: -fund of sponsorship program has received from individual donors the amount of $7715 from which was sent to fundacion monumento viviente, inc in the dominican republic, the amount of $5950 during 2014. The balance was $1765 that was also forwarded in the following fiscal year in full to dominican republic to serve the low income population such as children from the day care and school flor del campo, senior citizens from the senior home: las tres hermanas and patients from the eye hospital.
