Mission: To maximize the impact of the Arts on economic development, education and the quality of life for everyone by generating resources, inspiring excellence, and creating community connections.

Research shows the Arts improve our overall quality of life in many ways: SAFE • Juvenile crime dropped 27% after involvement in an arts program • Arts involvement led to a drop in repeat criminal behavior HEALTHY • Arts lead to shorter hospital stays • Arts lead to less medication • Arts lead to fewer complications EDUCATED • Arts increase graduation rates • Arts lead to higher academic performance • Arts lead to better test scores • Arts involvement leads to more community service • 400,000 arts experiences for schoolchildren from 134 schools VIBRANT • $259 million in economic activity flowing from the Arts • 1,000+ arts events each year • 1.5 million people in attendance • 8,000 local jobs
