The museum is pretty outdated and not very professionally arranged, but it is small and just a little local place so that is to be expected, I suppose. I wouldn't send friends to it. The lady who seems to be the director was abrupt and not very friendly (not with me, because I didn't talk to her, but I heard her interactions with a couple of other people), but the man who was working there was nice. There were some nice items on display, but the manequins were silly looking, the horses, too. I guess they're doing the best they can, but it was disappointing. The fact that it's next to a Civil War battlefield helped me get over the letdown. I don't want to be too critical, but people should know what they're getting before they spend time on it. As I understand it, the history of the 6th Cavalry is very impressive. It's a shame, but I really could not in good conscience reccommend the place, but I do think it has potential. It might be more meaningful to someone connected with 6th Cavalry history.
