The Opelika Wood Duck Heritage Preserve & Siddique Nature Park is administered by the The City of Opelika's Department of Parks and Recreation. FRIENDS of OWDHP&SNP are citizen volunteers assisting the City in making the Preserve and Park a place for local citizens to explore and enjoy hiking the three miles of trails connecting two viewing blinds for observing water fowl. FRIENDS maintains Wood Duck nest boxes to during the nesting season in addition to providing guided nature walks, especially birding walks, and special programs in the pavilion.
