Mission: Free clinics of iowa's mission is to facilitate the initiation, operation, and collaboration of free medical clinics in the state of iowa.
Programs: In 2017, fci reported 11,862 visits via 30 community-based free clinics and although free clinics are located in 21 various counties, patients are traveling from 89 of iowas 99 counties to access them. For those who continue to face challenges in obtaining affordable and accessible basic healthcare, people come to free clinics seeking relief and help and leave with a sense of appreciation for the 1500+ compassionate providers, nurses and administrative volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to serve those who otherwise would go without.
