Fmh, kmc, and cmc maintain an open door policy, accepting all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Fmh has 921 licensed beds. During 2016 there were 231,839 patient days with an average length of stay of 6 days, an average daily census of 633, and 40,701 discharges.
