For the Luv of Paws is a wonderful facility! Cherie and her staff work diligently to provide care to all the animals she is able to help. I adopted my sweet puppy 10 years ago. This organization was very professional and accommodating in making sure my new pet would be in a good home. I have recommended them to my friends who now love this organization as much as I do!
I moved to an area close to For the Luv of Paws sanctuary/rescue 10 years ago after I lost my husband. I wanted to pick one local place to help promote and share information online about and I went up to this one to see what it was like. It was a place in the most beautiful setting on old Route 66 near Kingman and the owner was a lovely woman who truly cares for all under her care, all the animals seemed much calmer that most places and to me that's a great tell about how good a rescue is.
I'm pretty sure I have shared every post of every animal up for adoption at the rescue for the last 10 years on Facebook, and I always post that they are just waiting for their ride home off Route 66 near Kingman AZ. I get a lot of attention on those posts and I am so very happy when they find homes.
I can't think of any rescue or any rescuer that deserves a helping hand more...through donations or grants or especially volunteers; and I'm sure the pups and kittens are grateful too!
When my husband and I first moved to Bullhead City almost 15 years ago we went to For The Luv of Paws after our cat that we had for 19 years had crossed the rainbow bridge. When we got there we met Cherie. She was so courteous, pleasant and attentive as we explained why we were there and she began to show us around the cat kennals. As she did she explained the personalities of the cats that she had available. We decided to adopt an older cat to honor our Casey who had passed and a younger one to grow older with. We were so impressed at the way that she took her time with us and answered any questions that we had and made us feel like we were not being rushed at all. We left there with TC who was 10 years old and Audi who was 10 months old. She explained to us that if either of them didn't work out for any reason to please bring them back. Again, we were impressed and we promised her we would. We had TC for 4 more years and he was the most loving boy. We loved him. We still have Audi and he his so inquisitive and has the best personality! We have had him 13 years now and we love him so much. My husband and I would highly recommend For The Luv of Paws!
Cherie and her staff of mostly volunteers run much this pet rescue with love and care. It is hard work and keeping the animals comfortable is hard in the hot summers. They do a wonderful job and nothing is neglected. She also runs a thrift store that supports the rescue. In addition, she holds events for people with dogs like the Halloween Trunk or Treat and costume contest and a remembrance day for pets. She and her staff are really special. Please know this is a special place and deserves awards.
We first learned about FLP after our dog had past away. We searched several animal rescues before we decided to adopt our dog Snickers. We have since returned with Snickers for a visit and to donate items from time to time. Our schedules have prevented us from doing more, but this is an organization that deserves as much assistance as possible because of their dedication and their mission to help animals in need.
Cherie and her staff of mostly volunteers have always been receptive, and a dedicated staff. The pet rescue seemingly couldn't be run much more efficient or with more love and care. We recommend that if you would like to donate, volunteer or support in any way, you wouldn't be wasting your resources.

I have worked with For The Luv Of Paws for the past 4 years and hope to be with them many more. I have never seen a better run rescue. The animals are all happy and have plenty of play time and are very well fed and cared for. The dedication that these people have is amazing. I know I will continue to do all I can to help any way I can. Thank you to all the dedicated people that help For The Luv Of Paws
Located outside of Kingman, AZ in Golden Valley, this rescue/sanctuary sits on 10 acres. The dogs and cats are well cared for by two caretakers and some volunteers. In addition, For the Luv of Paws collaborates well with businesses, veterinarians and community members to help the animals. It also runs a thrift shop and holds yard sales three times a year to raise money for the sanctuary. The volunteers are all great and very dedicated to doing the best they can. As a volunteer myself, I find the board members to be open and easy to work with. This wonderful sanctuary does extremely good work on a very limited budget. I enjoy volunteering my time to For the Luv of Paws and plan to continue as long as I can.
