Mission: Foothills Child Advocacy Center provides a coordinated system of effective response and intervention to children who have been victimized. Our goals are to minimize trauma, promote healing, and ensure child safety. Most significant activities: to provide a well-coordinated Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) response to allegations of child abuse or victimization, beginning with a forensic interview and including case management services for children and their non-offending family members or guardians.
Programs: Forensic/MDT - the establishment and maintenance of a facility where authorities can interview children in a controlled atmosphere outfitted with recording equipment for use by authorities and to coordinate a multidisciplinary response to victims of child abuse and their non-offending family members or guardians. Stewards of Children program - to provide, free of charge, a sexual abuse training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
