Causes: Food
Mission: Food policy action (fpa) is organized and operates exclusively for the purposes of promoting a healthy, sustainable food system through public education and the publication of the national food policy scorecard.
Programs: Fpa publishes the national food policy scorecard, which provides objective, factual information about how members of congress voted on a full range of food policy issues. In 2017, fpa published the national food policy scorecard for the 114th congress, its sixth annual scorecard report. The report was used as a tool to educate the public and hold congress accountable for its votes related to good food policy. In addition to developing and publishing the national food policy scorecard, fpa conducts public education on food and agriculture policy through participation in nonpartisan educational campaigns and issue advocacy.
