Mission: The mission of fsmsdc is to link
Programs: Fsmsdc connects corporate members and government with qualified minority business enterprises, expands mbe business opportunities and helps mbes grow and increase their capeabilities. Major accomplishments for our mbe programs and services include: five powernets; $2. 05 million of awarded financial transactions $70 million in awarded contracts and procurement (25 deals and 45 clients); $2. 6 million in loans with bb&t; wrote $1. 2 million in bonds for fdot and $237,000 in financing for fdot programs; co-sponsored the turner school of construction management training program in orlando and tampa with approximately 80 graduates; eight mbes are participating in the fsmsdc/u of m mentor protege program; continued to implement the tap program that provides mbes expertise in accounting/risk management/efficiency, legal, business development and sales & marketing consultation services; and hosted the annual business expo in orlando florida.
