Mission: The mission statement of the organization is "embracing children and families in need with nurturing services to help them achieve self-sufficiency. The agency's goal is to effectively and efficiently merge child welfare services with behavioral health treatment by providing an array of treatment options to meet the community needs. The goal is to set industry standards of quality and service in the treatment of children and families that specialize in adolescent pregnancy, parenting and prevention, family advocacy and community services that help families achieve health, happiness and self-sufficiency.
Programs: The residential program remains at the core of the organization and serves young woman from 11 to 21, most of whom are pregnant and/or parenting. Increasingly, the program accepts girls who are neither pregnant nor parenting, but need the behavioral health treatment that is central to the care of all clients. The residential maternity home is the only one in the state of west virginia.
wellspring family services is a home and community based program providing counseling services to families and individuals in the settings in which they are most comfortable. Serving 21 counties in northern west virginia from seven locations, the wellspring program is committed to restoring stability to families by enabling clients to shape new behaviors & to interact more successfully with family, school & the community.
trauma-informed elementary schools (ties) is designed to bring trauma-informed principles into the classroom and, for children that are referred for treatment, to provide an integrated approach for the school and home environments.
