Programs: Flora Pearl Foundation, Inc is committed to providing relevant programming and initiatives that effect positive change, create lasting results, and generate the greatest return on investment in the lives of our network of women and girls, our partners, and the communities of Alabama. Flora Pearl Foundation, Inc has organized community outreach as follows: A Will 2 Win Institute, a nine-month leadership training and development program for young women in middle and high schools held in Birmingham, Alabama from September to May. This program is designed to address economic justice by empowering girls through intentional mentoring, career planning, networking, shadowing, and sponsoring. Participants will experience relevant workshops, panel discussions, networking events, guest lectures and empowerment circles led by world-class leaders, innovators, creatives and change agents. Program History: In 2014, Flora Pearl Foundation, Inc partnered with Faith Chapel Christian Center in Birmingham, Alabama to pilot A Will 2 Win Institute, our leadership training and development program, in its first phase; in the same year until 2015, Flora Pearl Foundation, Inc facilitated A Will 2 Win Institute workshops for The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute - Birmingham Cultural Alliance Partnership (BCAP) through a partnership with Dream Girls Academy: two Birmingham, Alabama schools that directly benefited were Bertram A. Hudson K-8 School and Green Acres Middle School. **Flora Pearl Inspires Network, an ongoing supportive network that promotes economic empowerment for women and girls to build positive relationships, partnerships and networks through workshops, seminars, panel discussions, meet-ups, Q&As, networking sessions, and more. **We Are Flora Pearl Podcast, an International YouTube podcast designed for women and girls to share valuable testimonies and information on topics, such as entrepreneurship, education, pursuing your dreams, community service, fashion, networking, beauty tips/skin care, faith, family, and healthy living. **This Relationship Matters Cruise, an annual 4 to 5-day cruise for women and girls that includes a special 2-hour program to focus on building healthy relationships and partnerships for mothers and daughters; includes prizes, entertainment and much more. **Matters of the Heart, an event for mothers and daughters of all ages, showcasing mother-daughter opening dance number, mother-daughter fashion show, vendors, panel discussions, and brunch, in addition to highlighting women and girls in the community who are making a difference, affectionately known as our Phenomenal Faces of Greatness.
