Programs: After auditioning over 80 dancers from around the globe for positions with the company, the artistic director, mihailo djuric, offered contracts to 25 dancers, the season included together we dance, up close on hope (program 1), the nutcracker, up close on hope (program 2), chatterboxtheater little red riding hood), and the sleeping beauty. Festival ballet providence is the only professional dance company in rhode island and we draw a regional audience. We perform ballet classics as well as world premiere choreography in modern, jazz, and ballet. There is no typical performance. They are of the highest artistic and technical productions.
the academic school-year offers a progressively difficult training in ballet, beginning with children 3. 5 years of age with classes (music and movement and creative movement) through multiple levels of formal ballet training (intermediate i - iii, advanced i and ii). Our recreational division offers classes in youth/teen ballet, jazz and modern technique and we offer adaptive classes for children with down syndrome.
