Mission: The Wilson Foundation, in 1999, in conjunction with Life Treatment Centers, Inc have committed to help loosen the grip of addiction in Uganda, Zambia and Kenya. In any population, statistics predict that 10-15% of those who consume any amount of alcohol or other drugs have a predisposition to addicitive illness. What is different in Africa, more specially in East Africa, is that there are few if any service to place at the disposal of the addicted. There are no centers for detoxification and few education and prevention efforts. Through collaborative relationships, the Wilson Foundation's goal is to provide a service continuum of care to those suffering from addiction.
