Mary does an amazing job with the animals she rescues. The love and devotion that she gives each and every one of the animals at the rescue are unbelievable. Below are a few stories that I wanted to share with you about her love and devotion to her animals.
A little over a year ago she got a call that there were 8 horses that needed to be rescued. Before she could go look at the animals one of the horses had died. But the other seven horses were starving One of the horse’s had an injury to his hip that she had been told was over a year old. Mary found out that on the same property was four goats that were living in filth, and also underweight. For the next two weeks as she worked on being able to move the horse from where they were to the rescue she was going down twice a day to feed and love these animals. Out of those seven horses, there is only three left looking to find their forever homes. Weight was put back on these horses slowly until they were no longer in danger. The horse that was injured Mary cleaned and medicated within five months had it healed. He now lives in Alabama. One of the other horses a teenage girl fall in love with, she was able to adopt her. The horse got an amazing home with lots of love and treats, but in return, the horse is giving this teenage girl self-confidence.
A dog that was on the E-list for being aggressive, Mary took him in she worked with him. Today the dog helps a young lady with her anxiety. He loves his new forever home.
During the week of July 4th I was at the rescue caring for the animals, Mary would come back every other day just to check to see how things were going. Normally it would be 10:30 or so when she would get back to the rescue. Keep in mind that she had worked at Farmanity Project Fireworks stand for 8 to 9 hours already, and I had already fed, water and given night, night loves to everyone. She would come in dead tired and yet she would go to each animal give them loves and spend a few minutes with them. I do not know very many people that have that kind of devotion to their animals that they are caring for.
