Our family was blessed to have Nevada Blind Childrens Foundation open it's preschool in February. My Grandson Liam loves his teachers and it has helped him grow in so many ways. We are so thankful that they are part of the Las Vegas community. I don't know what we would do without them. Ladybugs Rock
Nevada Blind Childrens Foundation is always a blast to volunteer and participate with. The staff are always very attentive and helpful not only with the kids but also with the volunteer and keeping us involved with the activities. I look forward to continue to volunteer with NBCF.
I always have the best time volunteering with the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation. The staff are friendly, well prepared and you can see how much they care for the children. The children are wonderful and friendly as well. Each experience I have with them leaves me fulfilled and wanting to return.
Volunteering with the Nevada Blind Childrens Foundation is always a great time! I have volunteered for several Fun Fridays, holiday events, and Spring/Summer Break camps, and I have always had a great experience with both the staff and the kids. There are plenty of opportunities to help out with, all with the added bonus of having tons of fun. The kids are a genuine joy to be around, and the staff are incredibly passionate about what they do. All of this combines to create a uniquely educational and engaging environment for the kids. I always look forward to volunteering my time with the NBCF, and I believe others will feel similarly after spending time there. I highly recommend volunteering with the NBCF!
I am so grateful for NBCF and all they have done for my family. I moved from Reno to Las Vegas so my son could have a chance of attending. The entire staff has been so kind, generous, and supportive. I would have been completely lost without all of the caring staff who have helped us. We are so grateful.
This organization helps the children they serve in many ways. Each year they offer Day Camp this gives the children the experience of going to Day Camp and is filled with many activities and field trips. This past summer the kids went to Lee Canyon for hiking and a picnic. They all had a great time. The staff is very caring and watchful of all the children that attend. In summary awesome organization

I'm writing you from Kabala, a district that's located up North of Sierra Leone where over two hundred blind children live and languish in villages with no hope to realise their potentials.
These children have never got the opportunity to start school neither do they have access to medical.
Their parent and communities abandon them because of their disability.
So far, I've met with a good number of them and found out that, these children if only have the opportunity will to attend school and later participate I nation building .
I'll be so please if I hear from you.
Joining NBCF a year ago was one of the best decisions I have made. The staff is obviously passionate about the work they do and the families they serve. The programs offer students a unique experience tailored to their individual needs. The staff, volunteers, and families create a community space for these kids and is a direct reflection of the care they have for the students.
I enjoyed teaching the students dance and activity games. The students seemed to enjoy it and the staff were very helpful and encouraging to the students.
The NBCF is such a great organization. I have worked with them for the past couple of years through a program that provides free dance/music/art classes to the clients they serve and the organization has been nothing short of amazing. The clients they serve are interactive, engaging, and enthusiastic. The staff is very helpful and I enjoy working with them. I look forward to my next visit at NBCF!
Unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant experience with this foundation on multiple occasions. It's really hard to hear all the advertisement for this facility on the radio when they do not practice what they offer, I'm actually not sure what they offer besides a daycare center for blind kids including their SIGHTED siblings in order to fill a roster. I am not sure what DIRECT services they offer for the blind but we have been trying to stay engaged and support this facility for a while now and yet I still have many questions. I believe the right staff will come in to help and provide their experience knowledge. The staff at the Nevada Blind Childrens Foundation is a direct reflection of the director of this facility, unfortunately. They have a come a long way and I hope alllll the funds and growth of this place are for the children of the blind here in Nevada. I am very hopeful and I pray no other family ever has to experience what we have at this foundation.
I am a volunteer and donor for this organization. I am impressed with what this organization does for its clients. They focus on what their kids can do, not on their limitations. They recently opened the first school for the blind in Nevada, a significant undertaking giving new hope to the blind children of Nevada. The leadership and staff of this organization instill a sense of pride in the students. For many of the students, this is the first time they have goals and the confidence to achieve them. I am happy to support this worthwhile organization.
The Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation provides relevant advice assuring safe steps for children who live with numerous visual impairments. The dedicated staff lead and assist the children in everyday activities including music and art , assistance with school and homework, cooking programs, after school programs, and summer camp, to name a few. NBCF provides a safe environment and always strive to provide a better life for the kids. The staff always goes above and beyond to provide the families with access and resources to meet the needs of every child at NBCF.
Love all that they do to support youth with vision impairments in Nevada. Their comprehensive approach in supporting the basic needs of families, providing educational opportunities, and being strong advocates within their community, to just name a few, is why I will continually choose to donate. They are doing important and essential work within their community.
Nevada Blind Children's Foundation offers a wonderful range of inclusive teaching strategies that can assist all students in learning. NBCF offers a safe, fun, and friendly learning environment helping students with visual impairments become independent.
Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation is at the forefront for providing services to children who are low vision or blind.
Administration and staff focus on current needs and tailor services and supports based on those needs thru QUALITY programs.
As a donor, I’m confident NBCF is a good steward of my monies.
NBCF is the absolute best! Not only is their team caring and amazing, they provide the best environment for my son! My son has grown so much as a person due to everyone’s support and knowledge ya NBCF!
What a great addition to the community helping kids learn the necessary skills to navigate the world being blind or sight limited. I've seen their work first hand, teaching kids through multiple avenues; after school programs, summer camps, scout trips and more.
Nevada Blind Childrens Foundation is an incredible organization. They are mission driven with a tight-knit, fun, friendly and supportive atmosphere! Staff are creative, caring and dedicated. Lots of wonderful programming options to best meet the needs of the kids they serve.
I had the pleasure of volunteering with the organization this past weekend for the Annual Beeb Baseball outing. I found all of the staff to be personable and on point. The families of the children seem very connected with the staff and the care that is given was evident in this fun event. I am looking forward to volunteering at future events for this organization.
Sincerely,

Our organization has partnered with and contributed to Nevada Blind Children's Foundation. Together, we have offered some after-school music programming for the clients of NBCF. This is a great organization assisting visually impaired children, which is a group that is severely underserved in the Las Vegas and Henderson communities. What I love about NBCF is the depth and breadth of programming they offer for personal development, career and life skills, and so on. Their commitment to their clients is amazing and they are an incredibly generous and fun group to work with as well!
I had a wonderful experience with this entire organization. These kids are absolutely incredible!! And their staff members are absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to do more volunteer work with them!! Truly inspiring people.
Nevada Blind Children's Foundation is the only organization in Southern Nevada solely focused on supporting blind and visually impaired youth. They work diligently to make sure every resource is available to families and the students they serve.
Working with Nevada Blind Children's Foundation has been one of the most amazing and humbling experiences of my life. Seeing each students' confidence and independence grow throughout each program opened my eyes to the dedication and hard work each staff member put in each program. The various programs are designed to expand each participants' independence and life skills, while allowing them to interact with other visually impaired students. The families, participants and staff's personalities and interactions with each other, volunteers, and the public are proof that, to them, visual impairment is a diagnosis, not a disability.
Nevada Blind Children’s foundation provided me the opportunity to learn about children with Visual impairments. The foundation not only cares about giving the essential building blocks to the children but also provides them a fun and safe environment.
The Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation has quite honestly, been an answer to our prayers. About 7 years ago, I heard of this non-profit organization, that offers activities for the visually impaired children of Nevada & I decided to enroll my then 3 year old visually impaired daughter into their summer camp program. From that very first day with the NBCF, we (my VI daughter, my son, & even myself) were made to feel like apart of their little family. The staff is the most incredible group of devoted, caring, fun & supportive group that I've ever met. They offer so much more than just a few activities for the kids. They offer them independence, confidence within themselves, a second family (home away from home) & other kids to connect with that are just like them. The NBCF offers the blind children of nevada a place to belong. Thank you NBCF for all that you do!
I'm a new occupational therapy assistant student and I recently took a tour of Nevada Blind Childrens Foundation. During my tour I was impressed by the dedication, attentiveness, and overall caring nature of the staff. I visited over the summer, and got to see the wonderfully fun-learning activities for the clients. It felt like a very positive environment, and I hope to do my occupational therapy internships in a facility like this one--one that makes a difference in our community!

We had an amazing time when the kids had a field trip in our office. It was such an eye opener and a heartfelt experience for most of us here as we get to witness their strength and the little things that brings them joy. They all have their own personalities and the short time they spent with us, we got to know know alittle bit about them. They have big dreams just like any other kids as well as great talents. Their helpers (the rest of team) were very supportive and truly cares for the kids. I was honored to meet them and bring joy that day. I know that they had a good time and it's an experience for us that we will never forget. We look forward to having them again and continue to be involved with their learning and fun experience.
I toured the new facility. It's wonderful what this organization is doing for the children. There were numerous volunteers and they seemed happy and connected with the children. There were many "stations" that helped stimulate and enhance the children's abilities. Overall, a fantastic organization for Nevada!
NBCF is such a wonderful organization doing amazing work within our community. I have had the experience of volunteering with the organization a few times now and not only do they make the volunteer experience seamless, they do an amazing job of educating volunteers on what the organization does. I was invited back for the open house of their new school and I am very excited to see the visual impaired students interact with those who are not impaired and assist them on how to adjust to different situations.
This is one of the beset organizations in Las Vegas and I am very excited for all that is to come in their future.
When I volunteer they have a list of items to get done, they are flexible, the staff are cool and I enjoy working with the kids!
We first became involved with NVBCF two years ago, when we volunteered for an event. We were so impressed at how smoothly the event ran, there were a lot of items to choose from during the silent auction and since we were volunteering we were able to bid!! My husband and I volunteer to honor our daughter, Brooke, who was killed 8/9/13 in Anchorage, AK. There are many nonprofits that support children in the LV area (one of Brooke's favorite causes) but this one provides exceptional support to children/families, the community, and volunteers as well. They very much appreciate us, we look forward to special projects/events and the staff are super fun to interact with! We are so very thankful we found this organization and plan to support them for a very long time.
There is a tremendous amount of heart and talent at NBCF! You can really feel the amount of time and effort spent on creating quality programming, and the investment they put into the success of their students!
The experience I had with the nonprofit was a lot of fun! We were surrounded by great administration, kids and their families, and volunteers. Well organized and had a great time with the group!!!
Volunteering to work side-by-side with the children that NBCF serves has always been a great experience. The children are full of energy and amazing personalities that more people in the world could use. Volunteering during the recreational hours is a blast and a great way to get to know the children. The staff at NBCF are phenomenal as well. Everything is structured well for the programs they provide and the environment that they create for the students, staff, and volunteers is full of love, acceptance, understanding, and encouragement.
The Nevada Blind Children's Foundation is changing lives! This amazing organization is committed to helping children experience all life has to offer and expand their worlds. NBCF's staff is passionate about the work they do and its programs are top-notch. Every time I make a donation to to this organization, I feel like I'm part of something powerful and inspiring that is making our community a better place for all of us.
