Mission: FAIR is dedicated to the belief that all children deserve a permanent loving family regardless of age, ethnicity or disability. Founded in the late 1960s, FAIR focuses on post-adoption issues with special emphasis on trans cultural, trans racial and special needs adoptions.
Programs: FAIR's primary programs include facilitating peer support groups in several Bay Area locations, operating a warm line, organizing adoption education training workshops for parents and professionals, and conducting social events for adoptive families and children. FAIR salutes the rich diversity of our families through various cultural celebrations. FAIR members receive a monthly calendar of events and a quarterly magazine, "News From FAIR", with contributions from parents, professionals and children.
