Causes: Emergency Assistance, Food, Food Banks & Pantries, Human Services, Thrift Shops
Mission: Assistance to people in need; runs thrift stores which provide low-cost or free items to low to moderate income people.
Programs: Financial assistance (with rent/mortgage, utilities, medical expenses, fuel, emergency shelter, education, furniture, & clothing) to low to moderate income families. Assisted with approximately 20,000 episodes of food assistance to people for the year which included - food boxes to families without food. Each box contains approximately one weeks worth of food. Also provided emergency food. In 2006, began feeding lunches to children during school breaks-program called fish4kids. The food is both purchased & donated. Served approximately 3,400 children. Fish runs a thrift store which provides low-cost or free items to low to moderate income families. We serve an average of 360 people each day. Items are donated. Also provided suppport to fish md.
