Mission: To help empower low income people in washington state by providing financial education, outreach and advocacy using the resources at our partner, express credit union, and in doing so, help our clients build assets and achieve financial stability.
Programs: Financial education workshops, financial empowerment pathway series, and financial coaching all focused on basic education: how to use financial services, clearing up poor check systems and credit history. Each participant gains access to financial products and services at a credit union to help low income people navigate the financial services industry and keep them out of high cost alternative financial service providers.
deploying of cashless mobile tellers into community locations where the low income people already frequent (social service agencies, food bank, financial empowerment centers, work sources, etc. ). These tellers provide banking services and access to low dollars loans and financial coaching to people who are in distressed communities.
asset building programs are incentive type products and just in time education designed to help people change their habits and save instead of borrow. These programs include matched savings for vehicle purchases, citizenships and save-to-win.
