My son and I Jeffrey were homeless living in our van. I’m a 26 year union carpenter, money wasn’t an issue. I just had an eviction on my record spent several Hundred dollars on Rental applications. We were staying in a hotel and I met Charlie. His cousin Marvin works for Noemi. Noemi was swift getting us into a place. She is a godsend. She runs an absolute awesome nonprofit. She gives so much to the community and has helped countless people all in a positive and outstanding way. JJ and I love you, Noemi along with countless other clients I’m sure .thanks again. You are the best and I am so blessed to have met you, keep up the good work, girl you’re definitely a charger ,my kind of people. Have a great evening Naomi and thanks for the new two bedroom. CJK Community Homes has proven to be one of the top non-profit agencies servicing my area. Not only have helped me with my job search by assisting with my resume and cover letter struggles, but my children have also benefitted from their programs and services. I've been at my job a year now and my daughter has been housed for about the same amount of time, she's taken their financial literacy course and things have been going well. The owner and staff are amazing. I recommend them all the time
I met Noemi through a referral from a friend, and it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me. Noemi has opened up countless opportunities for personal, professional, and financial growth. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve been able to better myself in so many ways. Where do I start, I met Noemi at a family event, campaign events and just started sitting by one another at all events lol. The friendship turned into sisterhood and she is so humble, I didn't even know about her story or her business because she uplifts others and she is aan amazing individual.
You know, I started to smile when I saw that a colleague and brother of mine, Thrett someone who helped us moved like 10 years lol ago, like I know him l9l. I have had some tough times but when you meet people who upright others and are so excited, friend and easy to approach. I had no idea about her program until she invited us as guests, she gidted my mom and myself tickets and I was so thankful!
Noemi and Thrett really love people. My son joined their group and he has so much fun but also comes home empowered.

My name is Lukus Widener, and I'm from Kent, washington. I have had a difficult life, but fortunate in many ways. I have lost my all my family early in my life and recent, I love them and they loved me.
I struggled with alcohol and drugs at an early age, causing me to stay away from the friends I had grown up with, the ones that mattered.
The deeper I got into drugs the further I stayed away from them, I wouldn't even talk on the phone with them. I was ashamed of what I had become, in my eyes a failure. I never even went to high school.
Skipping ahead to 2020 I struggled with suicide and I was living on the streets, running from the law, avoiding jail because of a warrant for the next four years. 2024 and at this point I was not well, closer to death than ever before, both mentally and physically. My twin brother lost his life last December and now I'm the only one left out of my intermediate family, I have a half brother Sam that has the same struggles as I had, and I he gets help. I have a half sister as well and thanks to my recovery I can talk to her now.
I have missed being around my friends for so long, like Paul, Neomi, Maria, and their parents. I love them all so much.
September 3rd 2024 is a special day for me, it's my sober date. I went to Royal life center in Sumner, wa. and jumped into detox and then residential, after that I moved to Spokane and started the 12 week program that Royal Life offered me.
They put me in housing and 12 weeks later I'm graduating on the 13th of December and moving to their grad house now that I qualify because of the help CJk community Holmes gave me
by helping me get employment today, thank you.

They help me out while housing and providing me and son with resource to help us get back on our feet we was homeless and living in a shelter to get back on our feet they offers a place so we can get back on our feet Noemi and her staff has been nothing but helpful to us especially around that time when we really didn’t have anywhere to go out time in the shelter was coming up she work with me to help find us temporary housing until I can find somewhere stable without Noemi and her staff I would probably be sleeping in my car or hotel to hotel she wonderful and really a blessing and such an awesome person for being able to help
Working with CJK community homes has been one of the most helpful and impactful relationships I’ve ever had in my life. They provided me with the platform to start building my life properly and gave me one in a lifetime opportunities that no other organization was offering. The staff working here is amazing and truly cared about me and my personal story. They created a safe space for me to come and share my story. The people at this community especially Noemi have done slot to help me out, they helped me find housing and a job and have continued to provide a shoulder to lean on and a place I can go to talk. They are all around amazing and clearly have a loving side to them that they just want to share. I am grateful to have met them and gotten to know them.
This non profit provides services that are much needed for anyone experiencing homelessness. Now more than ever housing is unattainable for millions of people who have had life hardships, traumatic events, financial loss, no family and no where to go. This company is dedicated to helping their clients get back on their feet with shelter, work, health and well-being. I personally know several people they've successfully helped get housing. Noemi and their organization has been great. Noemi met us in the Tacoma Rescue to do the paperwork and housed 6 of us homeless veterans in their homes.
I have now lived in their housing almost a year. They are supportive, helpful, understanding and really want to help me become self-sufficient.
Relocated from Texas to Washington without knowing anyone in the area. I reached out to the Urban League who got me in contact with Noemi. From there she was able to guide me in the right direction for employment, housing, and other helpful resources. She cares about her work and is very fair and straightforward. I would recommend her and her team to anyone needing assistance.
When I can put to Washington, Noemi was one of the first individuals that I came in contact with. From the jump, she was very helpful, assisting, and made sure that she could bet there as best as she could to help me n the struggles I was going through. She is definitely one who will by any means make sure you’re okay. For being such a hardworking busy woman, she is able to do a whole lot of things around the community to help out.

We were homeless because our last landlord lied and erased us as tenants from the online payment apps. Which made it super hard to find a place to rent, no one wanted to rent to a family of 7 with no rental history. CJK community homes came in and saved us from having to be homeless any longer and are going to help us buy our first home. I’m excited for the next steps!

I’ve been in and out of Washington for more than 30 years and until CJK gave me the opportunity to establish myself in a community of love and friendship I had not known the joy of having people in my life I could depend on. I am truly grateful and inspired by their passion to aid the needy.
I go by Cy, i have known Noemi for years and she for one i can safely say has been a solid and thorough individual. If Noemi says she can help you out undoubtedly she will follow through. Me and my family were on the verge of being homeless. At the end of November our landlord gave us that notice to vacate after 6 long years. Fortunately we knew Noemi! We met with Noemi that following week and 2days later we checking out houses. In about a week or so we found a house Noemi got us qualified for. By January 2022 we officially became first time home buyers thanks to Noemi and our realtor Curie!

There are multiple barriers that one can face when obtaining secure, adequate housing. These barriers become almost impossible for those who have been incarcerated due to mental health symptoms/diagnosis. CJK Community Homes provides affordable, clean, supportive, community housing options for people who would otherwise be homeless. The housing management is supportive of the residents needs and often has a hand in helping these people attend necessary appointments and find gainful employment. The houses themselves provide a homey atmosphere that the residents can take pride in and make it their own. For people in the forensic population, structure and security are paramount. CJK Community Homes has saved many who would be lost otherwise.
