I am a member of EUPC Toastmasters club.

Toastmasters is great for anyone. Whether you are a good speaker or a bad speaker you can always get better. Remember, there is no such thing as a perfect speech.

We currently have about 15 members and over the past year each one of them has gotten extremely better at speaking. They say less "ah", speak clearer, have more confidence, and are better at preparing speeches now. Its amazing the improvements that can be made in a short time.

Toastmasters doesn't only help with speaking though. You perform various roles during each meeting; Speaker, Toastmaster, General Evaluator, Speech Evaluator, Grammarian, Ah counter, vote counter, and timer.

All these roles really help you exceed in listening skills and your ability to time manage.

The biggest asset overall is Table Topics though. The format is you volunteer or get called up and someone will ask you a question or prompt you to speak somehow. Then you must speak for 1-2 mins without any preparation. This helps you develop the ability to think on your feet and quickly communicate between your brain and your lips to develop clear and concise communication on the fly.

I recommend it for anyone, regardless of your abilities. As a professional, you will develop tons of skills that will help you in your career.
