Mission: Our mission is to preserve and promote the rich textile heritage of Northern New Mexico by providing learning and teaching experiences for all ages and backgrounds, and by providing encouragement and training towards economic sustainability in the fiber arts.
Results: We purchased & remodeled our 6,000 sq. ft. building with a USDA Rural Development Grant in 2007. We now have 2,000 sq. ft. each of Gallery/Retail, Classroom, and Studio space in downtown Española! We have year round, affordable classes in all fiber arts with master teachers. Our local experts teach Colcha and Pueblo Embroidery; Rio Grande, Chimayo and Pueblo style weaving, plus knitting, felting, spinning, basketry, crocheting, and color theory classes.
