This is a great organization working for equality for LGBT folks in North Carolina. It's the state's gay civil rights nonprofit, and they work hard both at the legislature to get good public policy and around the state to educate about issues facing the LGBT community from workplace nondiscrimination to protecting youth to HIV/AIDS to hate violence to marriage and family.
