The Episcopal Coalition has paid for and partnered in building 68 homes for under median wage families. Most of these families are single mother with two to four children some of whom are special needs kids. These homes have interest free 30 year fixed rate mortgages with low monthly payments. These homes are of high quality and have won awards nationally for being energy efficient LEED homes. Seven homes were paid for and built in Louisiana after Katrina. The coalition has also paid for and built homes in Honduras, Costa Rica, Ecuador,Paraguay, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Haiti, Zambia, Romania and Cambodia. The coalition was founded in 1998 and became an independant 501c3 in 2000.
