Mission: The epilepsy foundation of michigan leads the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.
Programs: Individual & family services - provide a toll-free here for you helpline, monthly learn & share conference calls, back to school conference, annual wellness & epilepsy conference, camp discovery for youth with epilepsy, progress toward wellness program, project uplift, open houses, celebrating abilities, coffee shop meet ups, and studio e art therapy program.
community services - provide epilepsy awareness and first aid workshops for students, educators, school nurses, first responders, senior service providers and other public and professional audiences. Provide educational content to raise awareness of epilepsy through our website and social media.
advocacy and public policy - ongoing efforts to protect the rights of people with epilepsy & promote public policies that benefit them such as: access to medication and specialty healthcare services, patient safety and mental health parity. Public policy agenda is promoted through grassroots efforts & regular communication with policy makers.
