Causes: Economic Development, Public Transportation Systems
Mission: The Eno Transportation Foundation works to improve personal mobility and economic productivity through better understanding of transportation issues. It seeks to maintain a transportation system, at all levels that supports personal mobility, economic growth, and quality of life, including safety and environmental aspects. It's programs focus on emerging issues in transportation -- issues that challenge the capacity of transportation-related organizations, both public and private -- to develop effective solutions. The Foundation compiles statistics on transportation trends, publishes technical reports on major issues, publishes Transportation Quarterly, conducts programs to promote transportation leadership among graduate students in transportation, public transportation officials, metropolitan planners, state transportation officials, and industry personnel. It also conducts policy forums in which the disparate interests affected by transportation policies come together, on neutral ground, to develop shared understanding and seek constructive resolution of issues. The Eno Foundation's programs are independent of any modal, business, or political interest, but frequently done in close cooperation with other professional groups interested in better transportation.
Programs: Transportation policy - developed and published transportation policy research to help promote solutions to the industry's most pressing challenges.
