Great school even if buildings were changed every 3 or 4 years. Passion ,sacrifice and a lot of energy of teachers makes this school exceptional. Every kid has different level of polish language spoken but great spirit of this school make them feel unique! Great staff, they have friday and Saturday classes
The "school" moves every 3 or 4 years from rented school district buildings. During the last 15 years the school was in Bartlett, Schaumburg - (2 separate locations), and Hoffman Estates. It is now located in Hanover Park. Why does each school stop their rental agreement? Ask lots of questions before you send your child there or donate money.
Parents park where they want - apparently parking at a fire hydrant or driving in the wrong way on a one way lane is not an issue for them. Not a single student has ever been known to fail a class. Can any of the students actually read and write in Polish at a high school level when they graduate? The "board" constantly changes and reportedly tries to change the school bylaws to suit themselves. Some parents allegedly try to use the tuition receipt for their taxes as Saturday "daycare" expenses. Teachers are "contractors" so it is unknown if they are legally in the USA or if a background check was conducted on them. Please ask questions regarding qualifications, criminal background and employment status regarding the teachers and board members.
Review from Guidestar
Nobody in the school with the exception of a couple of students, take it seriously. The education is made to maintain your understanding of the language more so then to learn it. Not everybody speaks the language perfectly in the classes and it would help if questions could be answered in english, which they frequently are not. I know a student that turned in no homework and turned in all but maybe 2 of his tests blank( the two he turned in had 2 questions answered) and he still passed the class. That is frankly unacceptable. The standards are too low.
