Programs: Cvmc operates two acute care hospitals, queen of the valley campus (qvc) and inter-community campus (icc), in the east san gabriel valley of los angeles county. Cvmc provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care for the communities surrounding the two medical campuses. Qvc & icc provide care for an average of 287 patients per day. Combined adjusted patient days was 151,918. Emergency room & outpatient visits totaled 155,892. Cvmc provided charity care at cost totaling $1,625,000, unreimbursed medi-cal cost totaling $34,946,000, and other community benefit cost totaling $5,051,000. During 2014, cvmc recorded a net supplemental medi-cal payments of $31,514,000 from the california hospital fee program for the hospital services to medi-cal patients covered for the period from january 1, 2014 to december 31, 2014 under a new 3-year program and to medi-cal managed care patients for the last 6 months from july 1, 2013 to december 31, 2013 under the previous 30-month program. Community wellness services is committed to improving the physical, mental, social and spiritual health status of our communities and to conserve and enhance the organizations resources. This is accomplished through a variety of classes, community programs, support groups, health fairs, screenings, educational programs within our schools, churches, libraries, senior centers as well as the use of telephone referrals. Most programs are offered at no charge. All programming is open to every member of our community and surrounding communities.
