Programs: Foothill presbyterian hospital is an acute care hospital which provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care to the surrounding community. Fph provides for, on average, 52 patients per day. Total adjusted inpatient days were 33,053. Outpatient and emergency visits totaled 52,404. Fph provided charity care at cost totaling $404,000, unreimbursed medi-cal cost totaling $9,664,000 and other community benefit cost totaling $408,000. During 2014, fph recorded a net supplemental medi-cal payments of $789,000 from the california hospital fee program for the hospital services to medi-cal fee-for-service patients covered for the period from january 1, 2014 to december 31, 2014 under a new 3-year program and to medi-cal managed care patients for the last 6 months from july 1, 2013 to december 31, 2013 of the previous 30-month program. Community wellness services is committed to improving the physical, mental, social and spiritual health status of our communities and to conserve and enhance the organization's resources. This is accomplished through a variety of classes, community programs, support groups, health fairs, screenings, educational programs within our schools, churches, libraries, senior centers as well as the use of telephone referrals. Most programs are offered at no charge. All programming is open to every member of our community and surrounding communities.
