Els for Autism has positively impacted our family in many ways. We are so thankful for all the opportunities, services and community support. Our son has developed skills as an adult we never thought he would achieve. He has friendships and is so happy at Els because the program is so enriching. The scope of services is very comprehensive and is truly a “whole person” philosophy. There is also a microbusiness, Sea of Possibilities, the adults participate in that brings together many of the components emphasized throughout the day. It is an honor to be a part of such an impactful endeavor.
Volunteering at the Els Center for Excellence is a rewarding experience. It’s a pleasure working with an excellent organization. I admire how much the center has grown with recreation and adult services. Employees at Els are deeply committed to their work.
I began volunteering at the Els Center of Excellence because of our daughter. We see how hard everyone works and how much of a positive impact the Center has had on children and their families. It has been impressive to see how much the campus has grown, and the extent of services provided. I have gained more than I have given as a volunteer. It is rewarding to be involved with such an outstanding organization.
The El's for Autism Foundation is making a great and positive impact on so many families in their local community and abroad.
As a volunteer with El's, I've been apart of the amazing work they do in supporting adults with autism. They truly get to know their clients on a personal level to understand what works best for them.
As a parent to a child with autism, I can appreciate the hard work and dedication that all the staff with El's For Autism put into their work on a daily basis and I feel rewarded for being able to see first hand the difference made.
Els for Autism has impacted our family in many ways. We are so thankful for all the opportunities, services and community support. Our son loves the programming and friendships he has made in the ADT program. His brother has participated in the sibling support network. I am volunteering in the micro business at Els, the Sea of Possibilities (“SOP”). At SOP, I witness first hand the way the micro business benefits these adults and how each of the participants contributes in some way. A difference is truly made at Els for wonderful individuals as they build life, occupational and recreations skills.
Our family has been involved with the Els for Autism Foundation for 11 years through the Golf Challenge and many other fantastic events. When we started our journey we lived in Boston and had a young son on the spectrum . Four years ago we relocated our family to Jupiter, FL so that our son could attend school on this incredible campus. Since day one...we have always been treated like family by everyone at Els. We are honored and proud to be involved with such a world-class organization .
We pinch ourselves every time we step on campus! So happy to call this home!
Our family has been a part of the Els Center of Excellence through the Els Golf Challenge when it began in 2011. Since then, we have seen the Els Center of Excellence continue to grow each year. The staff, volunteers and the Board continue to look outside the box and find innovative ways to help the children and their families on the autism spectrum. People around the world are able to reach out and find ways to help their own children. The Center is not only utilized top staff but have incorporated other hospitals/doctors across the states for more insight for different ways to unlock each child's potential. By adding the Adult Services building, students are able to continue to grow after their school so that they will be ready to enter the work force. The World is definitely a better place having Ernie & Liezl Els, The Board and Staff striving for more ways to reach each child.
Volunteering with the Els for Autism Foundation has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The foundation's commitment to creating meaningful change in the lives of individuals with autism is truly inspiring. I highly recommend volunteering with the Els for Autism Foundation to anyone looking to make a difference. It’s a wonderful place to contribute your skills, connect with like-minded individuals, and support a cause that truly matters.
I've had the privilege of working closely with Els for Autism as a member of their advisory board, and I’ve consistently been impressed by their unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of autistic people. Els for Autism not only provides essential services and resources but also fosters a supportive community that empowers families and individuals to reach their fullest potential. Their dedication to inclusivity, education, and advocacy is unparalleled, making a profound impact on countless lives like mine as an autistic adult. I'm honored to be part of an organization that truly makes a difference in the autism community.
I had an outstanding experience working with the Els for Autism Foundation on their social media strategy. Their team was exceptionally collaborative, receptive to new ideas, and deeply committed to their mission. We were able to develop a dynamic and engaging social media plan that not only amplified their message but also connected with their audience in meaningful ways. The foundation's dedication to making a difference was evident throughout our partnership, making the entire process both rewarding and inspiring. I’m proud of the work we accomplished together and look forward to seeing their continued success.
I'm grateful to have incredible support in my community for my son Andrew and other individuals with autism spectrum disorders. That's why I give back to elsforautism.com.
And while we are fortunate that the new Els Center of Excellence is right in our backyard in Jupiter, Florida, the Els for Autism Foundation realizes the need for outreach and sharing of information across the country, and across the world. They are developing a global digital platform to share best practices and are already helping individuals and their families in South America, Canada, Europe and Africa.
When Andrew was diagnosed with autism 15 years ago, we were 1 in 10,000 families who had received the devastating news. We didn’t know where to turn, and we spent the next three years driving to Miami, New Jersey, Maryland – anywhere we could find that might help our son. Today, 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, and over 3.5 million Americans and their families are struggling every day.
The Els for Autism Foundation is dedicated to helping connect the international autism community with best practices and the very latest information and research. I’m proud to be part of their community and that’s why I’ll be going to elsforautism.com on #givingtuesday to give back to an organization that has given our family so much.
